Everyone who works with textiles, in any capacity, is welcome to become a member of Textiles Hub London.

Friendly and fun!

We’re based in a bright, two-storey studio in central London near West Hampstead stations on the Jubilee Line and the Overground (that has Lime bikes) and just one stop from King’s Cross St Pancras on Thameslink – see map – with desks and communal working space downstairs and chillout, meeting place and storage upstairs. The studio is west-facing and looks out over leafy Kilburn Grange Park. There are ten Pay & Display parking places (Mon – Fri 8.30am – 6.30pm) immediately outside (payable via Just Park locations 13135 and 13136) and just around the corner. There’s an indoor bicycle parking bay next to the recycling and fresh clay storage area. There’s a corner shop opposite and five minutes away there are cafes and restaurants on West End Lane and Kilburn High Road as well as Rainbow Fabrics at Kilburn Market, TRAID, Oxfam (plus lots more well-stocked charity shops), Fashion Workspace, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Primark, Poundland, Homebase, Waitrose, M&S, Gail’s Bakery, Feng Sushi, Domino’s Pizza, JoJo Maman Bebe, West Hampstead Libary, West Hampstead Farmer’s Market, flower shops and more. We also have Open Studios every June and November with Maker Markets, Curator’s Talks, Textile Tours, etc.

Look out for our Textiles Studio-share Visit days to discover more about Resident Membership or request a private studio viewing via email.

If you’re looking for 24/7 access to a large textiles print table (2.5m x 1.4m) for sampling, a washout bay, natural dye area, pigment mixing area, a semi-industrial sewing machine, A3 exposure unit, Brother knitting machine, silkscreens, frame loom, A3 cyanotype vacuum exposure unit, your own personal desk and wall-space, storage, a quiet area for fittings, a teaching area to host your workshops, a knowledgeable textiles community and much more, you’ll want to become a Resident Member.  This is very reasonably priced, so feel free to mail us your request here.  If you’re keen now, place your returnable holding deposit via the Paypal button below stating your preferred ‘first of the month’ starting dates.

Alternatively, a “One Month Only Membership” is now offered for a different kind of Textiles Design development opportunity, one that gives you real focus and professional support.

The One Month Only Membership allows studio access on Second Wednesdays from 1.15pm til 6pm to focus your mind on a particular project, goal or task in hand. You can develop your project with the help of our founder, Emma Neuberg (External Examiner in Textiles Research at the Royal College of Art), during this time. You can arrange with her, ahead of time, which Textiles Hub London apparatus you’d like to use.  This is particularly useful for those with busy schedules, recent graduates, visitors to the UK on a short-term basis and those who want to expand their portfolios through specific projects and techniques. You’ll need to bring your own sundries (ie. items such as inks, brushes, papers, masking tape, fabrics, pigments, yarns, foils, adhesives and binders). Emma can advise on where to get these.

A One Month Only Membership offers individuals a focussed, convenient and versatile developmental experience.

It also means you:

  • have a write-up and be featured on the Textiles Hub London website;
  • showcase your work at Textiles Hub London on the Second Friday evening event during your month;
  • receive professional feedback at Textiles Hub London’s Second Friday evening event (from 8.30pm – 8.45pm) during your month;
  • be promoted via Textiles Hub London social media;
