Catherine Harris presented her work at Textiles Hub London in 2014 as part of the trailblazing exhibition and symposium The Geometrics curated by British curator Daisy McMullan and British-French artist Emma Neuberg. Her research into central European smocking techniques resulted in a stunning collection of textile samples that she made using these techniques. Harris presented a paper at the symposium discussing her smocking research in Slovenian communities and how she created an archive of the techniques she found there to disseminate to textiles students and aficionados everywhere.

She graduated in Textiles from Chelsea College of Art in 2013 and went on to work at the critically-acclaimed Selvedge magazine in London.
