Tanvi Kant was a resident member of Textiles Hub London from 2013 to 16. She is a textile artist and designer who graduated from the Royal College of Art in London. She focuses on textile jewellery pieces made from luxury threads and pre-loved sari fabrics and, increasingly, she transports these compositions and montages into collage.
Of British and Indian heritage, her work explores the beauty and spirituality of fabrics for the body and environment using traditional textile techniques to create undulating layers, bindings and forms.
See her work at Flow Gallery in Notting Hill Gate or attend one of her masterclasses at the City Lit, both in London.
