Karin Holmberg exhibited her work at Textiles Hub London during the autumn of 2013 as part of the My Nature exhibitions and publications curated by Textiles Hub London founding director Dr Emma Neuberg. Her stunning embroideries in wool on wool are inspired by her native Swedish textile traditions. The tactile, slow comforts of home, child-rearing and familial lineage are written into her pieces. Her embroideries focus on colourful woollen floss stitched into dark felted wool. She also creates more urban pieces such as embroidered sweatshirts and hoodies.
