Layla Murga was a resident member of Textiles Hub London in 2022. She is a multidisciplinary artist and printmaker creating installations, painting and prints in fabric, collage and pigment inks.
Of Spanish and Italian heritage, she explores material stories about identity, culture and meaning. Her cut and printed works are filled with energy, dynamism and an enticing, tactile story-telling.
Since graduating in Printed Textiles from the Royal College of Art in 2005, she has enjoyed developing her distinctive graphic style and an exhibition at Willesden Gallery, London, here.
