Richard McVetis is a resident member of Textiles Hub London who uses stitch to convey delicacy and power in finely crafted textiles. His seed stitches cover areas of felted wool in map-like patterns creating a story of permanence and solidity in the softest of materials. Flat pieces are pinned and mounted and sculptural pieces are stacked or placed under plexiglass. Of British heritage, his work explores the language of time, evolution, permanence and impermanence. See his work at Flow Gallery in Notting Hill or attend one of his masterclasses at Ray Stitch in London. Discover more here.
