Emma Neuberg

Emma Neuberg is a British-French multidisciplinary artist raised in England, France and Greece. As the Founding Director of Textiles Hub London, she is a permanent resident of the hub.

Her painting, installation and performance work examines the relationship between paint, print, materiality, scale, volume, identity and culture. Her reoccurring investigation is art practice as counterpoise to mental illness.

She was awarded a doctorate in Textiles from the Royal College of Art, London, in 2000 and her work has been the subject of several prominent solo shows in the UK. Neuberg’s work has garnered the support of several grants and awards including from Arts Council England, the Speranza Foundation (USA), the National Endownment for Science, Technology & the Arts (UK), the Workshipful Company of Weavers (UK), the Workshipful Company of Fanmakers (UK), TechTextil (Germany) and the Textile Institute (UK).

For twenty years, she has lectured at the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Russell Group and the University of the Arts, London.
