Archana Pathak was a resident member Textiles Hub London from 2015 to 2018. She specializes in stitch and fine art textiles for galleries and exhibitions. Of British and Indian heritage, her work explores texture, colour and story-telling. She uses a unique stitching technique employing ‘ribbons’ of old photographs that she creates to embroider with. The photographic images are then retraced in textiles communicating evocative new stories redrawing, literally, heritage, culture and identity.
Her works are delicate, evocative and poetic and she was recently awarded Best New Business award at the Contemporary Craft Festival, Devon. Today, she is represented by Ruup & Form gallery in London.
