Sheikh was a core member of Textiles Hub London after graduating from Chelsea College of Art & Design in 2011. She exhibited her work at Textiles Hub London in 2014 as part of The Geometrics exhibition and symposium curated by Emma Neuberg and Daisy McMullan

With her Ethiopian heritage, her work explores the language of print, pattern and culture in textiles. She mixes layers and translucencies in ink and imagery to create evocative and enticing designs, stories and patterns. Fluidity, transparency, strong colour and layering all feature in her refreshing, dynamic compositions and arrangements.
